Stacy Tan is a John M. Olin Fellow in Empirical Law and Finance. She is a second-year J.D. student at Harvard Law School and a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Tsinghua University People’s Bank of China School of Finance. Her current research project focuses on the effect of state ownership on corporate governance and firm performance. Before coming to Harvard, she worked in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. She earned a B.A. in Economics summa cum laude from Yale College, an M.P.P from Harvard Kennedy School, and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.
