Studies Using the Entrenchment Index of Bebchuk, Cohen & Ferrell (2009)

A study issued by the Harvard Law School Program on Corporate Governance, Bebchuk, Cohen, and Ferrell (2009), put forward a corporate governance index – the Entrenchment Index (E Index). This study has had substantial influence on subsequent research work. According to Google Scholar citations data, as of the end of 2020, the study was cited by 2,958 research papers, and over 1,200 studies used the Entrenchment Index in their analysis of empirical data.
