Bio:
David Wong is a John M. Olin Fellow in Empirical Law and Finance. David’s research focuses on corporate and bankruptcy law. Through an empirical survey of the restructuring outcomes of real estate developers in China since the introduction of the “Three Red Lines” regulatory requirements, his current research examines the extent to which the legal framework in Hong Kong achieves the normative goals of restructuring. His paper will adopt a comparative approach and examine whether there are any parallels between LoPucki’s analysis of the Delaware experience in the 1990s and the recent restructuring of real estate developers in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Harvard Law School, David completed an LLB from the University of Hong Kong and a BCL from the University of Oxford. He has obtained various scholarships and prizes over the course of his studies.
