Bio:
Michelle Baruhm Diegues is an S.J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of São Paulo. Her current research focuses on corporate governance, M&A, controlling shareholders, securities regulation, and antitrust.
Michelle holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (requirements fulfilled, degree waived), where she received the Morgan and Helen Chu Prize, awarded annually to the two graduating LL.M. students with the highest GPAs in the class. She also holds an LL.B. from the University of São Paulo and is a member of the Brazilian bar.
Prior to joining Harvard Law School, Michelle practiced as an associate at leading Brazilian law firms, specializing in M&A and corporate governance.
